History

Holy Spirit Parish is a vibrant, active multi-cultural community of the Catholic faithful established in 1974 by Fr Tom Crean C.S.Sp and a group of hard-working, dedicated, committed parishioners.

From its humble beginnings when Archbishop Rush laid the foundation stone, it has changed with the times, but at its core is the love of our Lord Jesus Christ and the Blessed Virgin Mary and bringing the Good News to the people.

The Parish Today

Our parish priests, Fr Rogasian Joseph Msami C.S.Sp and Fr January Mkude C.S.Sp, along with all the priests who have served the Pine Rivers community before them, are and have been servant leaders following in the footsteps of Christ and dedicated to their parishioners.

A Word from Fr Msami

Welcome to Holy Spirit Parish. May I take this opportunity to welcome you to our Parish. Holy Spirit Catholic Parish. Bray Park is a parish of the Archdiocese of Brisbane.

Our Parish is a parish of many cultures and traditions and together we make a diverse community. We bring our values and talents from many lands to make this parish a vibrant faith community so that together we can continue to build the Kingdom of God, not only within our parish and school community but also within the larger society.
With love I welcome and encourage everyone to be part of this Parish and together we will cultivate and provide a sense of belonging and hospitality. Our dedication to our parish and to the different ministries will fulfil the mission that God has entrusted to us. Working together we will be able to walk the path that Christ calls us to and lead one other to God’s Kingdom.
