St John the Baptist Catholic Church: A Vibrant Faith Community in South Hedland

Welcome to St John the Baptist Catholic Church, a cornerstone of spiritual life in South Hedland. Located at 15 Lovell Way, our parish is a diverse and dynamic community of faithful striving to represent Christ to one another and to the wider Pilbara region.
A Heart for the Community

St John the Baptist is more than just a place of worship; it is a spiritual home where people from all walks of life come together in fellowship. Our parish is deeply committed to serving the local community, supporting families, and nurturing the faith of our youth. We actively collaborate with local Catholic organizations to reach out and provide practical assistance, friendship, and spiritual comfort to those in need throughout the area.
A Unified Pilbara Catholic Family
Operating in close partnership with St Cecilia’s Parish in Port Hedland, St John the Baptist shares a unified pastoral vision for the region. Together, our parishes coordinate local Sacramental Programmes and work closely with St Cecilia’s Catholic Primary School to ensure our younger generations grow up with a strong foundation in both faith and education.
